EAN stands for the European Article Number, also named IAN (International Article Numbering). An international standard numbering and barcode system used primarily in retail applications developed by EAN International, compatible with U.S Universal Product Code


Purchase Order. Clients give Purchase orders to their suppliers. Suppliers send material to clients. Generally POs are Inward Orders to Assure WMS


Stock transfer order – A purchase order used to request or instruct a plant to transport material from one plant to another (that is, to effect a long distance physical stock transfer) within the same corporate enterprise


A marketplace is a platform where vendors can come together to sell their products or services to a curated customer base. … All marketing and operations are managed by the company that owns the website and products. Marketplace owners do not own the inventory their platform sells, unlike online store owners.

Marketplaces fall into three main categories when grouped by their target audience: business-to-business (B2B), business-to-customer (B2C), and peer-to-peer (P2P), sometimes referred to as customer-to-customer (C2C).  .Com channels can also be a marketplace.


Denoting or relating to a type of retail which integrates the different methods of shopping available to consumers (e.g. online, in a physical shop, or by phone)


A return order – Return to Origin ( non deliverable, address not found or whatever else could be the reason). In RTO the same packet comes back to the warehouse. Having same AWB


Customer Return – When the end customer places a Return. 


Stock keeping Unit – A stock-keeping unit (SKU) is a scannable barcode, most often seen printed on product labels in a retail store. The label allows vendors to automatically track the movement of inventory.


Seller protection fund -The Seller Protection Fund or SPF is a protection fund created to minimize the loss of sellers in case of damaged/incorrect returns. Under this Marketplace compensates its sellers when the returned item received from customers is in an unacceptable state or are entirely different from what was originally shipped

Bin is in which inventory is stored in Assure WH. Bin ID is associated with Item ID and Location ID of that bin is associated with the aisle racks


The aisles in a warehouse are known as the space between the racks. This is where the workers and machinery can move through. The aisles spaces in your racking will impact on the flow of the warehouse. 


Each racking area in a Aisle, is called a Location. A bin is put-awayed to an location.


A warehouse zone is a physically or logically segregated area within a warehouse defined by the type of material it contains (bulk or rack storage, hazardous material, etc.) or the division of equipment and personnel used to put away, move and pick.

Debit Note

In case of ( during GRN process) items are less than mentioned in PO then the debit note needs to be raised by the seller.

Cycle Count

Inventory count as whole or in small segments


RTV stands for Return to Vendor. It refers to the process of return of goods that takes place between a user or retailer and a vendor. It may consist of a return between user and retailer that sends it back to the vendor. In some cases, user may directly send the goods to the vendors


OLTP (Online Transactional Processing) is a type of data processing that executes transaction-focused tasks. It involves inserting, deleting, or updating small quantities of database data. It is often used for financial transactions, order entry, retail sales and CRM

DoS & DDoS

A denial-of-service (DoS) attack floods a server with traffic, making a website or resource unavailable. A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is a DoS attack that uses multiple computers or machines to flood a targeted resource.


Amazon std identification number


FNSKU is an acronym for Fulfillment Network SKU or Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit. The FNSKU is the way that Amazon identifies a product as unique to the seller that has sent it to the Amazon fulfillment center. … The FNSKU is printed on product-level labels

Amazon MWS “Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS) is an integrated web service API that helps Amazon sellers to programmatically exchange data on listings, orders, payments, reports, and more.


Amazon FBA

Fullfillmnent by Amazon. Basically seller stores the products in Amazon FBA centers ( WH) and Amazon takes care of pick-pack-dispatch ( against a fee)
