Caption Writing Contest

Increff has launched the Creative Day contest to challenge your Right-brain. We are inviting Bangalore-based designers and content writers to participate in this event and showcase their talent. For the content writers, an image is provided that needs to be captioned and the designers need to innovate templates for social media platforms, LinkedIn and Facebook. The designers are free to choose any of the themed challenges listed on the page. The winning prize is 25,000 INR.

Anyone who’s a graphic designer, freelancer, or creative professional can participate in this challenge. Register on the link on the page and do your submission. Entries must be received by 11:59 PM IST (Indian Standard Time), on the last day of the contest period, i.e. 3rd February 2023, to be eligible to win. As proof of your participation, you will receive a confirmation email post-submission.

The contest will be live from Friday the 17th Jan, to the 3rd of February. Entries can be submitted from the moment the cartoon is posted on the site, until the last day of the contest period.

a. The submitted cartoon caption is their original work and it has not been copied from any other person b. It does not violate any other rights of any person or entity c. It has not been published previously, used commercially, or submitted to another competition or contest d. It must be in “good taste” and in keeping with Sponsor's brand image and must not be explicit or offensive, obscene, libelous, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful, as determined by the Judges or Sponsor, in its or their sole and absolute discretion e. It must not contain any commercial content that promotes any product or service.

By entering the Contest and receiving the consideration of having their caption judged as a potential winner, entrants grant Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable license without further compensation to reproduce, publish, modify, publicly perform or telecommunicate, create derivative works from and otherwise use their caption, regardless of whether it is the winning entry or not, throughout the world in any form, media or format.

All captions received by the end of the Contest Period,11:59 PM 3rd February will be reviewed by an internal expert team of judges and evaluated according to their originality and creativity. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to abide by this process of winner selection and the judge's decision, which is final and binding in all matters related to the Contest, and the awarding of prizes. The odds of winning will depend on the number and quality of entries received. A purchase of any kind from the Sponsor or from any third party will not improve the odds of winning. Entrants acknowledge that other people may have submitted a similar or identical caption for a particular cartoon. Entrants agree to abide by Sponsor's selection process in such cases and will not raise any complaints or allegations of any kind against the Sponsor, or a cartoonist, arising from such selection and use, including copyright infringement.

Each selected entrant will be notified at the email address used for the entry. If the shortlisted entrants cannot be contacted within 48 hrs of the release of the list, the selection will be forfeited and the next best entry will be considered. After the 2ⁿᵈ round, the winner will be announced on the same day. By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of his or her: Caption, as set out in the Grant of Rights clause above Publication of his or her name as it appears on the entry form for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes. The entry will be declared to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses.

There is one first-place prize of INR 25,000/-, and the rest of the selected content writers and designers will be gifted goodie bags, as a token of appreciation for participating. The winner is solely responsible for any and all federal, state, provincial, and local taxes that may apply. The prize is non-transferable. In its sole discretion, the Sponsor reserves to substitute a prize of equal value.

This contest is open to residents of Bangalore, India, who are age 18 or older. Increff employees are welcome to encourage their friends and immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouses) relatives, and family members to enter the contest, but all entries will be evaluated equally.

Increff reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or the contest website, or not complying with these official rules.
